Question: How can I find a Registered Dietitian in the Southern Illinois area?

Answer: Ask your doctor for a referral to a dietitian in your area. All of the local hospitals have registered dietitians. Several Clinics in the area also have registered dietitians. You may want to make an appointment for Medical Nutrition Therapy. Cynthia will also help you find a dietitian in your area of Southern Illinois. Question: What is Medical Nutrition Therapy?

Answer: Medical Nutrition Therapy is designed to help clients learn more about nutrition basics and to provide a personalized plan toward weight control, disease prevention and overall better health.

This is the official term for the nutrition care provided by a registered dietitian. If you are meeting with someone who does not know what this is then you are not receiving reliable nutrition care from a registered licensed professional.

Question: Where can I find community exercise and swiming programs. They also have exercise classes, karate, and painting classes. For more information call the park district or John A Logan directly at http://www.jalc.edu/chec/.
